What if nobody comes? What if I’m found out? What if I guessed wrong & people just stepped around? What if…? What if…?

This was the first (and so far only) time I’ve tried anything like this, and all of the variables were running through my head. My head was sideways, positioned just below the doorbell. I pulled the mask over my face, and laid on my back, closest to the door, parallel to the door, leaning up against the wall right under the door. The others were placed on the porch, just above the top step. On Halloween evening, one of these dummies was laid just beneath the bottom step. We have a porch with five steps to climb.

I have to say, they were pretty realistic…especially that sixth… Each of them had either a stuffed rubber mask over the heads or a stuffed ski mask. They were life-sized, wearing either old flannels & jeans of mine, or a store-bought costume. I made 5 of them, pretty realistic, really. The part that really matters, though: the “dead” bodies. Hoo-boy, was I right…įor the sake of keeping this to the point, I won’t describe the rest of the décor, but it was great. I had one idea that I in particular thought was a good one. My housemate Joe knew that I “couldn’t” be there on Halloween but was keen to help decorate. I had this idea about 2 weeks before Halloween, just in time to set it into motion & make it happen. if you live in a town like me where lot of late College/Sorority girls come out trick-or-treating. Thought I'd pass along to you all a fun idea, esp. I'll try to go through and find my original chapters, though given the nature of it, adding some of the others may work as well, or I may re-write some new stuff).

Based in part on actual sorority trick-or-treating which happens with some of the crazier college girls in the town where I went to college. **An original of mine, posted long ago on a site that I don't even remember the name of, written as "Halloween Trample," found today on a different site, with the name "Night of the Living Dummy," posted by someone else (now as a "choose your own adventure" style on this other page).
